“Midway to far” is a photographic journey of the sense of misplacement in a personal and intimate experience, in the situation of a long-distance relationship.
A fluctuation of thoughts, emotions, encounters, and detachments; alongside constant research of balance and belonging.
As part of an ongoing personal exploration of acceptance and human interaction, belonging in this work is searching for the missing piece to feel balanced and in one place, mentally and physically.
The journey is presented in form of a photo book, highlighting the up and down and reoccurring emotions. On the other hand, the exhibition focuses on one overall feeling of perseverance in time.
