What is the relationship between weapon culture and toxic masculinity?
I often wonder wether it is solitude, or the desire for community which drives men to violence.
Weapons have this ability to create a feeling of status, yet I wonder wether this performance comes from a place of insecurity.
Encountering people in their own environment, I catch a glimpse past the flexing that shop owners put on, finding a vulnerable side, a fearful one. And so as they reach for the tool of destruction, I fear they become blind of rage, that they will infect the people around them.
Loosing the contrast, I visualize the cycle of vulnerability.
A raw exploration of the streets and the weapon culture on the curbs.
